With great sadness we announce the passing of our great friend Keith Smith on Saturday 15th January 2010. To Mary & his family we pass on our condolences.
Keith was a great man - a wonderful friend to those who worked with him & to those customers he helped over many years.
Keith commenced employment with Alexander Smith & Keeler in 1954, & then with Keeler Hardware in 1970. The Keeler family have had the privilege of working alongside Keith for 56 years.
We have many warm wonderful memories & sometimes hilarious stories of our time with Keith - but never a truer friend nor great ironmonger could you find.
Keith was a great man - a wonderful friend to those who worked with him & to those customers he helped over many years.

Brisbane Inundation

Our Brisbane office, showroom & warehouse - in Camford Street, Milton - has suffered severe water inundation associated with the extreme weather events in Queensland over the past week. Firstly, we have to express our supreme appreciation to our friends, neighbours, customers & suppliers - & to the people of Brisbane on “Mud Saturday” who have turned out to help us, expressed their support physically & emotionally to get us through the mud. Words cannot express our gratitude & thanks.
To Craig Rogers, our Queensland Manager, who has carried the brunt of the load - what a man.
We will restore Keeler Hardware in Queensland - better than ever!
Whilst our Camford Street office is being re-built - we will be well supported by our other locations (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra & Wollongong).
To our customers we can assure you that all our commitments will be filled - we hope beyond your expectations. We ask for your understanding & support. We are grateful to those who have already contacted us to express their ongoing support.
We are proud to have been in business in Queensland for 25 years.
